Doctrine is the most important consideration when deciding upon a church. No accomplishment of any church is valuable if the doctrine is unscriptural. Doctrine is the teaching of the Bible. We believe the truths from Scripture listed below:
- Creation – God created all things in six literal days
- The Bible is the perfect Word of God
- The Trinity – God is one essence with three Persons, the Father, the Son , and the Holy Spirit
- Man’s condition – All men inherited Adam’s sin and are born sinners
- The necessity of the Redeemer – Man must have a Redeemer
- Jesus Christ is the Redeemer
- Incarnation and virgin birth of Christ
- Atonement through His blood
- Saved by grace through faith, not works
- Saved by calling upon the name of the Lord
- Baptism by immersion
- Communion at the Lord’s Table
- Sanctified and holy life of the saints
- Eternal Security and assurance of salvation
- The sanctity of human life, marriage and the family
- Faithful service in the local church
This list will not permit a full account of our doctrinal beliefs, but it is sufficient for one to see that our doctrine is in keeping with the Bible and historical Christianity.
